How to Play Automate a Restaurant

Automate a Restaurant is a Roblox simulation and incremental game by m_experiment. At its heart it is simple: grow ingredients, turn them into dishes, serve customers for money, and reinvest that money to automate the whole process. You can open the game on Roblox.

Controls

• PC: WASD to move, E to interact.
• Mobile: joystick to move, tap to interact.

The Loop You Repeat

Play revolves around one chain of actions:

1. Grow crops in beds and pots (real-time growth).
2. Release — pull the lever to send finished product into storage.
3. Collect the stored product and any cooked food.
4. Plate dishes to fill customer tickets.
5. Collect money — you are paid on service, not when a crop ripens.

Repeat this with a cheap, cookable crop and you have a working restaurant. Everything else is an optimization of this loop.

Discovering Recipes

You do not unlock recipes from a menu — you discover them by experimenting with ingredient combinations. Once you find a dish that sells, keep cooking it. Money scales with the quality of the recipes you serve, so a better dish is worth more than more plots of the same cheap crop.

The Goal: Automation

The name is the objective. As you earn, you unlock drones that take over the manual work in three roles — harvesting, cooking, and serving — so your restaurant keeps running while you plan the next expansion. Drones only run recipes you have already unlocked; they will not discover new ones for you.

Playing With Friends (Co-op)

Automate a Restaurant supports co-op: about 10 players can share and build one restaurant together. Splitting duties — one person farming, another cooking, another managing drones — lets a shared restaurant scale faster than playing solo. Note that permissions may limit who can rebind drones in a shared session.

First Session Checklist

• Complete the tutorial and stay on tutorial crops for guaranteed income.
• Keep a cheap backup crop growing so beds are never empty.
• Find and lock in one profitable recipe before experimenting widely.
• Save toward your first drone rather than spending on gamepasses early.
